I’ve been playing with printing my rubber stamps. This is a photo of the stamps to give you an idea of scale. I’m using water based block printing ink. I like the rustic results, it is a fun process.

postcards from Oregon
If you notice a really bad job painting these postcards, it is because they were painted while riding in the back of a car. This car, to be exact. A 1948 Ford. What fun!
Off to Oregon
and home again!
I got to hang out with Aunt Carol.
There was a beautiful rainbow over their valley!
We met the local piggies, Diesel and Oinker.
We got a visit from some wild turkeys. It was a wonderful visit with Mark’s family, Oregon is a beautiful place.
The trouble with numbers…
is that they just jumble in my head!
I never got good at multiplication, I never really learned that evil times table. I suppose there’s not the demand to learn the times table like there was when I was in school. There was a large poster of the that table grid in the front of our classroom, and I dreaded when the nun would roll up that poster then start picking students and demanding the answer to seven times eight. The thought of it can still upset my stomach. Images and colors make me happy, numbers serve to confuse.
Where I stood
When we were in Charlotte, North Carolina, we visited the Southend, and on the way back we stopped at a Mexican restaurant, with a great face in the floor tile. So, I stood there.
The land of radios
That’s what we do in North Carolina, sell radios and radio parts. It was a lovely trip, despite weather and a poor turnout, we did manage to get rid of a few radios and enjoy a lovely vacation.

West Virginia snow
We just got back from North Carolina. This is what West Virginia looked like a week ago. We’ve never seen so much snow so far south in April.

Tempo enters the room
Tempo walks into a room like she owns the joint. She’s three and a half now, and for a cat that sleeps the days away, when she is up she certainly wants to be in charge. Harmony comes into a room looking for someone to pet her or feed her, but Tempo, Tempo comes in like the boss. She checks out where everyone is, decides if the climate is right, and reacts accordingly. She doesn’t see the virtue of cuddling and petting. She will chase a crumpled paper, or a flying feather, but she doesn’t seem to want to be friends. Some cats and some people are just like that!
